Jacob Mossel compiled these papers while serving as Governor of the Dutch trading areas on the Coromandel coast. The second of three sections is missing; we have sections I and III. The material here is a series of informative histories, documents and accounts of commerce in this area of great Dutch activity from 1612-1738, gathered both from Mossel's own experience and from the archives of Negapatnam.
